Toast POS food cost integration
The dominant POS among US full-service independents, and the integration we're asked for most.
There is no Toastintegration. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
- No Toast integration exists today — no OAuth, no catalog sync, no price write-back
- Anything claiming otherwise on another page would be us lying to you
If you're running Toast
Toast turns up mostly in full-service independents, where the menu is long and gets reprinted seasonally rather than edited weekly. That rhythm is what makes a missing write-back cheap to live with and expensive to be blind about: you reprice in one sitting a few times a year, so the ten minutes of retyping is nothing, but a dish that drifted in March and got looked at in September has been leaking all summer.
How to use Marji with Toast today
Marji works fine without it: photograph your menu to get your costed dish list, and photograph invoices to keep it current. The only thing you lose is pushing an approved price back to Toast automatically — you'd change it in Toast yourself, which takes about as long as approving it did.
What a POS integration buys you, precisely: it saves you retyping an approved price. Costing, watching supplier prices and naming the dish that drifted all run off photographs, whatever till you use.
Why Toastisn't built yet
It's the integration we're asked for most and it's next. There's no date on this page on purpose: a date published in marketing is a promise made by someone who isn't writing the code.
Start costing now; the integration can come later.
Photograph your menu, get your costed dish list in about a minute. Free tier, no card.
